THE INFILTRATORS is a docu-thriller that tells the true story of young immigrants who get arrested by Border Patrol, and put in a shadowy for-profit detention center – on purpose.   Marco and Viri are members of the National Immigrant Youth Alliance, a group of radical Dreamers who are on a mission to stop deportations. And the best place to stop deportations, they believe, is in detention.  However, when Marco and Viri try to pull off their heist – a kind of ‘prison break’ in reverse – things don’t go according to plan. By weaving together documentary footage of the real infiltrators with scripted re-enactments of the events inside the detention center.

IBCC & AIRR (Advocates for Immigrant Rights and Reconciliation) have partnered to do this film screening to educate more on immigration and deportation. We chose this film because many lives are being impacted by laws that are being passed in the U.S.A as well as in Missouri. We want to show what can happen when we all stand in solidarity and work together to create a better world. After watching the film, we would like to take some time and answer some questions that will help us better understand where the problems lie in our society and how we can be a part of positivity impacting the lives of our neighbors.
